Arabella Adelaide is an established electronic artist and composer, having written and completed her first album ‘ProjectAries’ earlier this year.
ProjectAries began a few years ago, when Arabella first had an idea to write a CD with a track for each of the astrological star signs based on their traits. After thoroughly researching every piece of information she could find, she created 12 tracks that tell stories about 12 different characters, pushing musical imagery and creativeness to the limits to give life and comprehensible stories to the music. Arabella inspires the musicians around her with unique stylistic interpretations and approach to creative composition.
She has extensive knowledge in both synthesised and recorded sound editing and mixing, or as she likes to call it “pressing buttons so the music comes out”. Her dexterity and speed with her software is second to none and even impresses her professors and superiors.
Arabella’s music, it could be said, are pieces that can be understood and enjoyed by all listeners with all different levels of music knowledge. She incorporates catchy, fun, memorable melodies with complex harmonic structures so that everyone can understand and listen, no matter how extensive their music capabilities.
After all, what’s the point of listening to pretentious music that doesn’t sound cool?
That doesn’t mean to say, however, that she isn’t versatile… she’s composed pumping club music, to schmaltzy 50s shopping tracks and everything in-between. She’s even turned out rave music and orchestral game soundtracks.
As well as composing and song-writing for herself, Arabella has also composed and orchestrated on various short-films. She has been composing and song-writing for 16 years and is about to finish her degree in Music Technology at the UTas Conservatorium.
